Ken Kutaragi, presidente de Sony ha comentado que los discos duros extraíbles de la nueva consola trabajarán con un sistema operativo Linux.PlayStation 3

El presidente de Sony, Kutaragi, anunció que los discos duros extraíbles que utilizará Playstation 3 estarán equipados con un Sistema Operativo Linux. Estos discos duros convierten a la nueva consola de Sony en una computadoras más que en un sistema de videojuegos.

Estos discos duros no vendrían incluidos con la consola y habrá que comprarlos por separado. Por el momento se han confirmado modelos de disco duro de 80 y 120 GB.

Su principal preocupación es que las personas comprendan que ellos ven la PS3 como una supercomputadora y no como un "juguete" (refiriendose a Nintendo).

Parece que se viene con todo la guerra de las consolas.
